I'm hoping to make to Hyder, Alaska next year and I will be traveling through B.C. on the way.
My route into Canada will start in Washington state and will include hwy 97, 16, 37 and 37a.
My planned gas stops are the cities of Hope, Cache Creek, Williams Lake, Prince George, Burns Lake, Kitwanga and Stewart. I can't find a gas station in Hyder.
I'm looking for any info on road conditions andgas stops. Is Kitwanga the lastplace to get gas before Hyder? Weather conditions in early July?
Hyder!

Rollin, I grew up just a couple of hours west of Hyder, but now live outside Vancouverso I know that route really well and have probably done it 20 times. You are pretty much spot on with your fuel stops but there are lots of other options and towns along the way if you decide to go off course slightly. It will be a nice ride, mostly highway but with fantastic scenery. Kitwanga is not that far from Hyder so that would be your last stop. The weather should be great in July, temperature will range from 22-30 degress which is 72 - 86 farenheit. If you want more details just send me a note, I also just read an article about that ride in one of the biker mags, I can send it to you if you want.

What magazine was the article in? Any Victory dealers along the route?

I will get that Magazine info to you later but believe it or not there will be 2 Vic delaers on the way. There is one in Langley about half hour after coming into Canada but opposite direction of Hope and the one that may be important to you is in Prince George which is about 8 hours from Hope and about 4 hours from Hyder.
