I scored what has to be one of the last sets of brand name slip on mufflers that were produced for Victory Cross Country. - Still NEW in the box. No major exhaust brands are still fabricating and selling for the Victory label. I know, I looked.

The planets were in all in alignment for me, so Vroomhilda will get a new voice as she has destined to become a keeper now into her 10th year, even as I ride less miles into old-er OG age... Speaking of - Just came across my 48th Sturgis T-shirt from 1988 hanging in the closet with the other meaningful symbolic relics of mine. Riding in from SoCal then.
**Anyway. These pipes look meticulously made and so well packed with such lustrous deep chrome and real old style rebuildable baffles that I was really impressed. I look forward to installing them to see how they sound and perform. Yes. I have a tuner and know what I am doing so not just making noise. More to come.

No, but it does look like it. They are fluted inside. Looks pretty cool.

Yes! The DNT's... with fluted caps. Love that they are rebuildable. Over the 10 years I have now owned my CCT, She has had installed the V&H, D&D and Tri Flo pipes along with the OEM stockers in between so it will be interesting to see where they fall from past experience with ther other pipes comparativerly in things like sound, freeway drone, chrome quality, welds and general appearance. I have high hopes and expectations of them. Pretty impressed thus far.

Bassani slip on's installed and they sound great. Right up there with V&H. Decibel meter says 108 at idle. Ran up and down the freeway and 2 lane with no noticeable hole in the mid range or back fires. Steady idle. All good from here for now. I have it pretty well tuned in with my FI tuner etc. More time in the saddle will tell.

Took Another all freeway fast 55 mile ride and no retuning will be necessary. Runs fabulously, allows me to shift to the next higher gear sooner, no holes in the midrange, no back fire and 38MPG - all fast fwy work. This brings to an end the New Bassani slip on pipes adventure.
