So my luggage rack/passenger back rest just came in the mail. Unfortunately it cannot be mounted. I have saddle bags on my bike but they are not the quick release type. On their website it states there is a docking kit available for quick realease saddle bags.
Has anyone installed a BDD custom passenger luggage rack that has saddle bags?

    Thank you

    Blunts!
You have decided to permanently mount saddle bags on your Gunner.
I was going to do the same thing to mine.
Take a look at what I eventually did to my bike in the other links.
I do not always carry stuff when I ride. Sometimes I like to travel light, and just RIDE!
I love the fact that Givi travel trunks pop right off in less than half a minute.

I have the BDD backrest/luggage rack and US Saddlebags. They have a mounting frame and are quick release (from inside the bag), but the frame is permanently mounted. Basically, I installed them by pushing the mounting bolt through the frame kit, then the hole in the backrest, then into the threaded socket on the rear fender. I am not sure if your setup would be quite the same with out knowing which saddlebags you are have installed.

I don't have specific picture of the frame mount setup, unfortunately, but I may be able to take one later, if you would like.

Planning to do a wood luggage rack. I searched everywhere...just too expensive with current exchange rate and Mal economy. No bonus is the contributing factor, cheated by the company on full bonus. Damn

You get it done in wood, and I'd love to see the finished product. Heck show some pics as they are being built!

You got it. I m gonna start doing it when I return from my family vacation. Picked up some wood few days ago. Now thinking of the bracket. Planning requires more time and thinking compare to execution hahaha
