I gotta be honest, I didn't think there'd be an HD in the top 5, let alone battling for 1st. That was a fun race to watch. :) It goes w/out argument that that lead Indian had the 2nd place HD beat 6 ways to sunday tho.. even after blowing it and ending up all the way back in 3rd it came back and took 1st back away handily.

found it interesting with so much backing HD did not do better., only 2 Indians and they posted. I think 11 HD 1 posted or broke down rest lagged. It shows Indians potentially has a lot more to give on their bikes if the wanted to.

I am no Indian fan boy. I have to believe or want to believe this tech in performance was geared at one point for Victory Bummer.

Would have been pretty interesting to see an XC with cams in that race. :)
Being water cooled 'the right way' makes a difference on those bikes. It's worth mentioning that the Indians are actually Victory engines, developed to have been put in Victory motorcycles but stolen to put in an Indian frame. If they HAD been put into a Vic instead of an Indian they'd have been #1 and #2 and would have been able to go up in the stands and watch the rest of the race when/if the HD's went across the line.

An independent I assume could have built a CX and raced. It would have been funny to see a private guy beat them all on a Victory.

With only 2 Indians it was a pretty sure bet to end up in the top 5. Lol

    Great race.

After watching the race a few times, would be cool if they made a stock street super bagger. liking the look. pegs a bit higher and lower fairing. A bagger with a Busa mentality.

Once you own a Ducati it becomes part of your soul. My soul told me get rid of it because I am not ready to leave this earth.

Great race, I watched it Live on moto america. The lead Challenger had them all outclassed by far. I feel the 2nd place HD was highly modified and had an awesome rider but it wasn't enough. Get this, the 3rd place Challenger engine was Bone Stock other than exhaust, it beat a supercharged HD!!! To add insult to injury 3 HD's DNF and 1 DNS in an 8 lap race! Can you imagine the fatality rate if it were a longer race!!!

Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I know what you mean. I rode a 6 cyl CBX for 14 years. Didn't ride it stupid though because I chose life over thrills.
