The other day I left my neon light on and the battery went dea. As before I jump started it with no problem and went on a two hour ride with no problems. I stopped for gas and it started right up. The 15 minutes later I stopped and attempted to restart it the battery was dead? This time I push started it and the engine light stayed on. after about 2 minutes it started to backfire and then stalled. The guages all went out as well. Does the Hammer have a charging system like a car? It seems like it may be the battery but normal after a short ride it recharges its self. HELP I miss my baby

If the battery is bad the bike will not charge, and you will get the symptoms you described
