I like it. Unfortunately, I just had a fresh set of E4s put on. I know, I know, I was all "I'm going Cobras next time", but it just didn't work out. And I have no regrets, these new E4s are pretty damned good. So maybe next time.

My Cobra lasted 8K on the front. Not impressed not giving them more money

After 8K on Metz 888s my Vision has turned into a 900lb worm in the wet. I still have plenty of tread life left...but when she gets to wiggling around at 65mph , that's no fun.

I'll have about the same miles on my XCs cobras when I get home next week. If they still stick like glue where the Vision is wiggling around? The Vision will be getting a new set of Avons for the winter.

I just burned a front Avon off in 500 miles, but hey at least I got a good deal on them. They don't hold up in the rodeo's to well.

Have you ever tried Shinko tires on your rodeo bike? I hear they're supposed to hold up fairly decent under those conditions all things considering?

What psi do you run? You have to run the Cobra's higher than the Dunflops. They recommend 40-42 in the front.

No I have not tried the Shinko's. I have tried a few other brands, but mostly use Dunlops. I got a good deal on the Avon's but probably won't be buying any more as I can't see a marked improvement that would make up for the loss of mileage. I can usually get around 2000 miles out of the Dunlops.

If I run across a good buy on some Shinko's though I wouldn't be opposed to giving them a try.

I've hesitated on the Shinko's just because the "reviews" are all over the place. Of course, this is considering the grain of salt needed.

This right here is why I switched to Avon Cobras. Never an issue in the rain. That’s my biggest concern. Most all tires are fine when it’s dry out.

Waiting for some kind of deal or rebate on these. J&P for the set looks to be just under $500. I'm not frugal but that's nearly twice what I paid for the ME888s. I am going to give them a shot anyway over the winter. But curious if anybody has already tried them out and what kind of mileage have you gotten so far as well as how you feel they compare to the AV71/AV72 if you have had both models.

Edit: never mind, looks like they just became available this month, so probably no reviews yet. Maybe I'll be the first!
