First bike I saw, and was told about was my Dads 36 Knuckle. It was a picture of it tied down on a barge, which was one of four my old man tied together and push fron the New York City area to Lockport NY, transporting oil. I was single digits. Tried to make my "Stingray" look like it. Started riding (legally) 1968, on friends bikes (this does not count the "RIVERSIDE" moped we would"borrow" and ride around the neighborhood. Will be 70 this Dec. If I can't hold it up at stop lights - I'll hang a chair on it. My plate says "NO CAGE" could not survive without a bike, have taken four over 100K ( this doen't count the miles I've riden on others). My first solo ride was on my dads - not sure of the year (1973 I think) FLH 1200. I am riding bike number 5 of my own now, 14 Cross Country 8 ball plus added "stuff" to it. has abou 40K on it. my moto " Some people OWN MOTORCYCLES - Some people Ride them! Do not know if I am a "BIKER" I think I am but depends on what that words means to each reading this.
