I'm assuming the GPS is mounted somewhere on the handlebars? Has anyone installed the factory GPS who can provide a pic? Thnx.

It mounts using RAM mounts on either the left or right side (though left makes more sense). There is a ball mount that goes in place of one of the bolts near the controls.

Here's a pic I took last year.
There is a Ram mount part that is an official part for the Vision.....but it fits my XC and 08 VL. It replaces the bottom side of the clutch lever housing thingy, and has a hole to mount a ramball.

If that's what you're looking for the PN is 2877372.

If not, forget you ever read this message.

Thanks for the feedback. Looking at the pics on eBay, I figured it mounted on the bars somehow, which isn't ideal but probably the only real option on the CC and CR. I really like that it has a wiring harness for speaker output. Does the navigation voice cut out the stereo (I would assume it does)?

The Zumo 550 works great. It does hide the gas gauge by a bit, but you can program in miles per tank and there will be a low fuel warning on the Zumo. It's ez enough to take a sneak peak whenever.

I also wrapped some carpet non skid around the u-bolt to prevent any scratching on the bars. I used the lighter with an adapter I got at the local BMW shop to hook mine up since I have to return Skully in January WAAA.

I have it hard wired into my KP headlight so it is key activated.

(The XC headlight is a snap to get into! Directions in the manual believe it or not. If all else fails read the directions! What a novel idea) I'm sure the CC is similar.

I put the 660 on the XC. I used the Victory clamp adapter (replaces the bottom of the clutch housing clamp). The placement is perfect for me. The nav cuts out the audio source. Works well. I used the MapSource software to plan 4 custom routes for a trip through VT.

i'm using the bottom clamp replacement ram ball assembly with my 2720 garmin. I'll buy the newer nicer ones when this one craps out. Ram balls are decent, the clamp is the 'cleaner way to go'.
