My understanding is that It's mostly the .40 S&W haters buying 10mm...and yeah there are a lot of them as of late.

If you read further down... after putting 50 rounds through one, we both hated the double action only .38. No way in hell.

Except he used a 44 mag which is actually has a bullet size of .429. Calling it a 42 mag doesn't sound right

I used to have a 3", round butt Model 29 Smith & Wesson but I wore it out shooting it.
Now I have a Redhawk, 7-1/2" barrel, .44 magnum and I doubt that can be worn out.

Holy crap man, now you have me curious. Would you by chance care to guess how many rounds you put through your Model 29 S&W before you deemed it wore out?

    Tonight is date night.

Date night used to consist of a movie or a dinner out... now, date night is RANGE TIME. I have 500 rounds of .22 and 100 rounds of .45 ball. I got Puss one of these to shoot for practice. It's just like what I'm buying (when I can FIND one) but in .22 LR. 22.jpg

Probably 14,000 to 15,000 full house magnum loads. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED the gun.

It was so worn out that if you cycled the trigger, double action, nice and slow, the hammer would fall before the cylinder locked in place. I didn't deem it worn out, it WAS worn out in a dangerous way. I haven't owned a Smith & Wesson since... but I'm buying one now.

The Redhawk is a beefy piece. I honestly don't think you could hurt it.

I carry a Lcrx 9mm revolver. Better ballistics than the 38 and more forgiving to shoot and actually cheaper. My lady has no problem handling it, might want to give it a look as well. If your looking at revolvers. A da polymer pistol is hard to beat as well. My glock 43 is my go to for ccw. Happy shooting!!
