That's a good 1"-1.5" shorter wheelbase over the XC.

I agree it looks like a victory. I saw them in person earlier in the year. Was a factory demo at some event. We can all point out all the differences but it is inspired by for sure just like the colors.

Wheelbase on the Chieftain and Cross Country are the same at 65.7”. Overall length favors the Cross Country 108.1” to 98.7” for the Chieftan.

Looks like you are correct Sir.
I had thrown a tape on mine, but it was on it's side stand, and that must have messed with the measurement.

I had a hard time believing they were the same until I measured them myself, the biggest difference in length is the rear fender on the Cross bikes.

I read somewhere the reason they call it "custom paint" on the Elites is because each bike is painstakingly hand painted. Supposedly, no two are exactly alike. And this "custom paint" is the only reason that I can figure out as to why this bike lists for roughly $6K more than a Chieftain Limited Icon. And I suppose the fact it has the rear speakers as a stock item also bumps the price up cause even though you can get the saddlebag speakers added to a Chieftain, or a Limited, they're not standard. Probably some other little goodies on it too that I'm unaware of. It's just hard understand why this bike lists for $34,999. But they are nice.

Also, I agree with bikendad about driving lights. Didn't the Chieftains up through 2018 have them? Then they were removed for 2019? I'm all about that extra light. I was wondering if the little indian-faced light on the front fender was supposed to replace them or something.

There is no f*cking way this bike should cost 35 grand. And to have no driving lights? Absurd. AT 35 grand this SOB should make coffee and sex you up as you ride along! By rights they should sell NONE at that price, but I'm sure someone will pony up for one. Whatever...

No different than people that pay $40k for a CVO. Just because you are rich doesn’t mean you spend wisely I suppose

It’s a beautiful bike but it’s a showroom / garage queen looking bike. Sorry but I grew into the type that likes good looking and less maintenance. Too much chrome and the beautiful paint job is nice but sheees 1 scratch and you just wanna cry.
There’s black then there’s all the girls colors.
Guess I’m getting lazy. But my wife’s X1 stealth is awesome. After months of riding it still looks clean ! Until you clean it ! Lol.
