Well like the bike not the infotainment screen, way to big and of no interest to me. I might need to add padding to the seat just to see over since i'm only 5'7". I also see it as a big distraction as well. Just my 2 cents otherwise nice motorcycle.

I love damn near everything about that bike other than the price tag.
Visually the 111 is a work of art! Apparently the price of art is about 10-12k more.
One thing on Indian leather tho..it looks 10 years old in 3 months. Thick stuff too, no one knows why it looks like crap so soon. Dye fades and seams come apart.

@Kurbs Had a shot at '15 some MD had completely decked out for $17,500 as is, but @ 14K miles the seats needed dying or something. Looked like huge nasty rust marks like someone left a plow and tools on the seat 10 years ago. Fringe on the footboards looked like rusty barb wire.
I hadn't ridden the Vic yet but just felt VERY small, tight a lot like my old Road Star compared to sitting on Vic. For the money it should come with stage one, guaranteed not to stall, and a 4 year clutch warranty. Bought Vic zero regrets.

local dealer has a 15 Chief..bags look like hell, seat leather worn, saw another in Milwaukee last weekend, dealer there commented on it before I could. Said lots of people not happy with 3 grand in leather that goes to crap in 6 months. Thats the kind of stuff that choked Indian in 2003.

Bad to resurrect a name and start off with crappy quality. However the engines seem much better than the old S&S 88's they used last time and the Baker trans that blew apart.

Test road a 17 Roadmaster at the Progressive Motorcycle show in Long Beach yesterday. My lady and I got to ride almost 30 minutes. Yes it has good torque. fly by wire throttle different in response to my 13 Victory CCT. Despite being a smaller bike my passenger and I weren't crowded. Giant high def 7" screen is way nicer than Harley's. Engine heat was there but air temps were upper 60's so not the killer heat I've heard. Bike I road had 2k miles on it. Indian reps said I could open it up. This bike had stage one pipes and flash so I figured it should be a good running bike and that they wouldn't send me out on a turd. 1800 to 2500 RPM's it is very responsive. It was all done by 4 RPM's. Not to pick on the point but my CCT after 3K RPM's would run away from it. We took the RM on the freeway and I opened it up. My wife and had have sena head gear and I told her hold on! After 3K RPM's I told her it was wide open she calmly said "really?"

We rode home 20 minutes after the test ride and got on the same freeway and I hammered my CCT and she insisted it was faster and I agree. Like I said 1800- 2500 RPM's hammering the RM, it had punch. The electric screen only goes up and down 3 inches. Not enough adjustability for me. All the way down it was even with my chin. All the way up even with the tip of my nose. Overall gearing seems to be the same as my CCT.

I didn't notice that the transmission was that much smoother. I had a hard time finding neutral. Stereo sound was no better than my CCT. Very low seat height. I'm 6'2" and had lots of knee flex flat footed at stops. Engine vibration about the same as my CCT. Fit and finish were good. If it cost the same as a CCT the CCT would still be in the running for me. for $30K? Not at all. There are better $30K bikes out there. I wanted to like this 111 beast because I'm looking forward to my next bike someday and the RM was in running for sure! It won't be this one for now. Not for $30K.
