first question... I've found multiple sites that quote the 2017 CCT as having a 200 watt stereo system. Yes it has the 6 speaker setup in the fairing and when the trunk is on, you definitely can hear the sound from behind you even with a helmet on. I haven't been able to find an amp for the rear where it usually is, back in the fender. Is it a new head unit that is actually all powered from the front now?

Second... has anyone encountered where either at startup or at odd other times, your stereo appears to reboot itself? It will actually blank out and either come back right away or sometimes it will take anywhere from 3-5 minutes before the Victory logo comes back and then my sound returns. It's annoying at the least but still comes back. Because I can't replicate the issue at will, I'm hesitant to take it to the dealer for them to look at it as I feel they'll just scratch their head and I'll be out of my bike for the time they're playing with it.,

Did you get the rebooting issue solved? I have also experienced that with my '17 XCT.
Nope. I've even had my head unit replaced under a warranty issue and it still happens. I found another thread about this in the Magnum board and all points to an issue between Apple and the stereo. I just live with it now.

The amp location is under the rear fender right above the ABS.
Yep, found this quite a while back. Found my other issue is also something that is a known issue. Especially with the Magnum head unit and apple products.

I'm no expert and know nothing about amp location but I'd expect the amp location to be in the trunk, perhaps behind the passenger seat. In regards to the radio, maybe (probably) a loose connection or ground. I'd check the main audio harness and the ground cables around the radio in the fairing. Check the battery connections too, just because. Maybe unplug and put some dielectric grease in the connector and push it all back together.
Yep, looked in the trunk and didn't see anything in there. Just the two speakers. That was one of the first places I checked. I've also heard possibly radio connectors inside the fairing for the other problem but since it's still barely a month old, I'll let the dealer mess with that part. I'm already planning on getting some lock washers for the battery just in case to avoid future issues like that.
