Thinking about buying a low mileage 2014 CCT but I seem to remember some having a crankshaft tolerance issue and a recall for the problem. Also the dreaded C clip breaking requiring major transmission repair seems more prevalent that year. Anyway, am I overthinking this or do you think these are legitimate concerns that would make you think twice about buying one?

I don't recall anything about the crankshaft having issues or any kind. The C-Clip failing is a rare issue from I've seen on the forums. All the best to to with the CCT, they're an amazing motorcycle.

What color, mods and mileage does it have?

Just buy it before someone else does.

Assuming you like the bike and how it rides.

Going to take a look at it tomorrow Mark. I'll post a picture of it then along with all the info if I don't buy it.

Not many had the crankshaft spacing issue and they were all fixed. The problem showed up right away. The C clip is very rare, buy the bike.

Still haven't heard anything definitive on what years the "C" clip was an issue. Bought a 2013 Judge with 11k that had this happen.
Have it apart and a used engine to go back in place of the original. Trying to catch up on some other projects. Hopefully have it going for the good fall weather, summertime is teardown time here in AZ. Also trying to get the kitty fat enough to allow for cams and high compression pistons, have a Maximus and exhaust all ready. No I'm not going big bore. After seeing the dyno sheets just doesn't seem that big of a gain for $1700.

Blacks the fastest color. There’s black then there’s all the girls colors. Oh except for Stealth Grey. Yeah that’s a guys color too. Yep.

That's a wonderful bike, except for the rear fender. It looks like it would get taken out by a single speed bump. Rotating it back a few inches should take care of it.

Especially like the retro cheese wedge and ignition covers. But the fringe on the grips has gotta go.
