Hello all. I hope everyone is well. I’m a newbie to the forum and I have a question. I have the opportunity to buy a 2010 cross-country with 19,000 km( yes in Canada) I know about the whiny transmissions but I was wondering if it was still as solid as the 2011 and 12’s…etc. Any help would be very appreciated as I have a 2013 heritage Softail that I am getting rid of because I am not a fan of it. Thank you …!

Nothing wrong with a 10. You have a picture or link? List of mods or a asking price?

    My 08 & 09 (69 & 42k miles) transmissions are quieter then my 13 (36k) . Especially the 1-2 shift. The neutral select 2nd gear makes a hell of a noise. But they're all solid !

He’s asking $12,000 Canadian. Not a lot of add ons. I think he has a lloyds air cleaner and perhaps the timing wheel as well. New rubber 2,000 k ago. Black cherry and it looks super clean. I just did a 250 km ride on my heritage Softail this morning and my fingers are still numb. It’s time for this thing to go.

That sounds high. You can find XC's down here for less. Not sure what the market is like up north. It is a gorgeous color.

Well, since Victory’s are rare as hen’s teeth up here, as those who have them aren’t selling them, you might try to haggle down $1000. But you’ll be very happy with the bike if you choose to buy it as it’s only had maybe 3 oil changes. Call it a garage queen. The problem will be selling your hog as they’re are hundreds for sale. I say buy it, enjoy it and you won’t be sorry for a moment. It’s not a cramped seating space like the hog offers.

It’s a superior machine compared to a Harley. Just the ride alone sold me back in 2011. Today I own two Incase one won’t start.

2010 is a fine machine, mine has 119000 kms and climbing, change, oil, filters, tires add gas an go.....that price seems a little high. Although here in Ontario all used prices are very high this year.....I"ve seen some on Facebook Victory buy and sell for less, check it out.

If its got a Lloyd's air filter and timing wheel, it should have a tuner of some sort as well. Ask the seller if it does; if it does buy it. That's a big saving for you right there, and will make you very happy with the bike.

    Greetings,
When we bought the Bride's XR years ago, we bought it because of the seat height. I was so impressed with the ride, handling, power, started looking for a Victory for me. Two Victory's later, still impressed and very happy with these machines. She still has the XR with 41k miles, no problems, no worries, just ride.

Buy it, ride it, enjoy it!
    Ride safe,
    Smokier

The bike is going to be 11 years old. It should have had 10 oil changes thus far.
