Picked up a 2004 Victory Touring Cruiser last week. Custom painted and it ran horribly. The clutch adjustment was way off and the idle was incorrect.

Adjusted the clutch and idle and it's great. The rear shock clevis was custom made and shortened but it doesn't look like something I wanted to trust. Removed the rear shock to have a new OEM-length clevis installed and also to be rebuilt.

Now you have to ride in the St Patty's day parade every year. Lol

    Nice looking float.

    That's an amazing paint job!
I just acquired a 2002 v92c touring cruiser - in stock black paint.
    I'm green with envy.☺

Do you know what size the forks are on that? I'm trying to figure out if the touring cruiser
forks are usable on a standard cruiser.

I got one this year, around February. 2002 V92 , but the Deluxe. It ran when I bought it, $2,500 but... yikes, needed tires and had straight pipes and the speed sensor did not work and the headlight did not work. So, I have done a lot of work, but it is still up on the jack. My main show stopper after working to do major tune up / maintainence is the Exhaust.

It came with straight pipes - totally unacceptable.
I acquired some 2001 mufflers but I simply cant figure out how to rig them on.
I got some 2002 v92 Deluxe mufflers on lline that had bent 'tangs' - and I make mistakes trying to bend them back, hopefullly another try or two and that will do it. So far, not looking good.
I will give it another try, then.... sadly... I realize I will have to search AGAIN for a stock (quiet) exhaust system. My ears simply cannot take the noise mile after mile. The island I live on is too small and the noise is an incredible nusiance, so, my desire is moving quietlly down the road, avoiding notice of the local constable, who I respect but are often performing the duty of protect and collect.

So, by now, with all the stuff I have done, I spent lots more'n I planned ($1,000) on maintanence - forks, tires speed sensor, oil, cleaners, wheel bearings.

So, I stay on a cash basis with it. Even if it never runs again, I will invoke that saying 'yesterday is a cancelled check'. That is to say oh well. Besides, I have a terrific Triumph America and for around the island, a Diamo Torino.

Anyway, how does your TC run? Do you like it?

My 2002 V92c DTC was a joy the first month I owned it. Rode it everyday to work and county roads on the weekends.
2weeks ago Friday, it was reluctant to start in the morning, but eventually fired up and got me to work just fine. Friday after work was a non-starter. So now I'm troubleshooting.
Many great tips on this site, so thank you all for that. I had to laugh to myself when I saw some videos from Rylan at the Vic Shop and realized I'm about 4-hours north off Hwy-169. I may be paying him a visit if I can't solve this myself!
This bike had 27,000 miles on the odometer when I got it ( 27800 now) but sat idle for some time before I got it. So for now, I'm spending time getting to know the bike from someplace besides the seat!

    1. The bikes cranks nicely and I hear the fuel pump pressurized the system. Checked several parts stores about renting a fuel pressure gauge without success.
    2. Battery test - good (2 months old)
    3. Spark plugs replaced and producing a nice bright spark
    4. Throttle bodies cleaned per guidance from this site
    5. checking fuel filters now....
