  1. Tech Q&A
Until recently I was an OTR truck driver, and so asked a friend (also a rider) to babysit my bike while I was out on the road. I was typically out for 3 months at a time, so I couldn't just let it sit (especially since I loved from FL to MD) and wanted someone who could at a minimum run it to...
  2. Tech Q&A
Last fall my 2005 Kingpin with 43k miles would not start, just popped and backfired; changed the spark plugs, checked the spark, replace the two rubber vacuum caps on the right side of the throttle body (they were both cracked) and cleaned the throttle body. I pulled out about half an ounce of...
  3. Victory Octane
Sorry if this topic has been covered already, searched but did not find anything. So left bike "on" but engine killed today by accident as I was running inside to grab something but got distracted and battery was dead when I went back out a couple hours later. Got a jump and bike fired back up...
  4. Victory Octane
As an Octane owner and a general motorcycle enthusiast, I have owned many different bikes. I've been active on forums for all of them. And there never seemed to be a lack of cumulative resources shared. Weather it be write ups on how to do something to the bike, a mod, a tune. They were all...
  5. Victory Kingpin
I posted a question a bit ago on fuel pressure. After only getting a video ad in reply, I decided to replace both the fuel pump and regulator. After I installed them, the bike ran great. No hesitation, no backfiring, no popping and more power! I tested the pressure and it was good. After...
  6. Victory Kingpin
My 04 Kingpin is running rough. I narrowed the cause to fuel pressure. When I turn the key on, the pump kicks on, and the pressure jumps to 30 (I know, its low) and as soon as the pump stops the pressure drops to 0. Is the the pump, or the pressure regulator the culprit?
  7. Victory Hard-Ball
I just pulled my air filter out of the used 2016 High Ball I bought 5k miles ago and it smells a bit like fuel, is this a normal thing or am I reading too much into it? I also has some liquid on it but didn't smell like fuel.
  8. Victory Gunner
Just bought a 2017 gunner and it is my first cruiser. Rode a few times already and i love this bike. Switched from a crotch rocket and do not regret it. One thing i have noticed is my fuel light comes on when i start the bike. First time i thought someone stole the gas from my tank, but i...
  9. Victory Cross Country
I recently bought a 2016 CRT with 3,200 miles on it. As you all know the on board computer to calculate gas mileage is totally wrong so I used a calculator to get my results. My 2012 CR (crashed) would get a consistant 46-48 mpg. These are my results. 2/23/18 - 156.8 miles - 35.517 mpg 2/23/18...
  10. Tech Q&A
Howdy from DFW! Have a 2012 cross country, and in 5 years / 20K miles, it has never *not* started. Changed out the rear wheel yesterday and during the process, the bike slipped off the jack and was on its side for 20 minutes or so. I'm getting fuel (FP kicks on when ignition turned on), but...
  11. Tech Q&A
Hey fam, just took possession of a 16 Magnum! Absolutely beautiful bike! Went to fill her up tonight and had gas spraying out as fast as I was putting it in there. the damn tank is so shallow that the gas splatters up and out. What has anyone done to correct/minimize this issue? Pretty stupid...
  12. Victory Kingpin
Hey guys, Long time reader, never posted. I'm handy with a wrench and prefer to do all of my own maintenance on any bike or car that I own- you guys on here have saved my ass a few times without realizing it. So, to get to the reason that I'm now posting instead of just reading. Starting a...
  13. Victory Vegas
Hello fellow Victory owners. My wife has a 2008 Victory Vegas, Great bike until the last few weeks. The idle has started to surge very bad. The bike would idle from 1k to 2k in quick succession. After looking more at the bike. The intake boot under the Throttle body is not longer adhered to the...
  14. Victory Octane
I've had my Octane for a few weeks and around 650 miles. From day one when the engine is hot, there has been a loud noise that sounds like either the air filter or fuel pump. I didn't notice it when I test rode the bike, but five miles isn't really enough to get the engine really hot. I took...
  15. Victory Kingpin
I have a 04 Vic Kingpin that wont start. New Fuel pump and Battery. It pops when I'm trying to start it. When I cycle the fuel pump using the key or switch it charges for 4 seconds but doesnt seem to hold the pressure becasue when I do it again it cycles for another 4 seconds. When it was...
  16. Victory General Discussion
Many of my bikes are older machines. The fuel fittings on my 2000 V92SC broke, due to the age of the PVC they are made of. I tried to contact the company that made the fittings, but received no answer. However, they still make quick disconnects for other vehicles. So I purchased a 3/8" set of...
  17. Tech Q&A
I will try to make this short and to the point. I bought a 2006 Vegas 8 ball with 3k miles, that has been sitting for 8 years in a garage. I dumped the tank, and the gas looked like orange varnish. I cleaned the throttle bodies, changed the oil, bought a new battery and changed the plugs. I also...
  18. Tech Q&A
I have a 2014 Victory Judge that starts but will not idle. Continues to run so long as the throttle is open, but it doesn't run properly (sounds trashy, maybe a couple misses and the spark plugs are black). It ran fine until I cleaned the throttle body. I checked and rechecked the fuel rail, all...
  19. Victory Cross Country
Okay so I have a hacker pipes EFI fuel tuner ....I have a 2013 cross country, with a lloyds air filer, stock pipes with gutted mufflers and cats still in line... and my elevation is about 5,500 feet here in Utah.. I have it tuned to the stock tuning setting...is there another adjustment that I...
