      It can be a PITA but I certainly enjoy the bike's low center of gravity created by all the heavy items being down low.
      
      If your XC has a constant on cigarette plug you can get an adapter and charge through that. If it is switched power it won't work.

      Yes Sir, I saw those 12v plugs after I posted and am thinking that will be the way to go! Yep the weight down lower I did note, but these things are so heavy up high that i'm not sure I could notice. But every bit helps.
      
      Edit: Confirmed the12V accessory outlet in the fairing is the type that is constant on. Just ordered the NOCO 12V Accessory adapter $14 shipped. NOCO - X-Connect 12V Male Plug - GC003
