I have one. Works great! Did a lot of research before buying (gel pad, sheepskin, new $950 Russell day long, etc). Even got to try a sheepskin once, did nothing for me.

Settled on the airhawk and it works great for my boney a$$. Takes a little time to get the correct air pressure, but has allowed me to extend my riding time by at least double.

This is the one (I'm pretty sure)

It easily could be your position. Try sitting up straight with your back against the seat back.

Also the new seat will need some miles to break in so you may just need more time.

      Also,

Check out a Airhawk cushion. I have one for longer rides and have really enjoyed it.

      I got this one.

Didn't that make you sit allot higher? My butt gets numb/hot after about 70 miles....goes away in about 30 then all set. I got an Ultimate seat to, love it...best part, so does wife. Tested last summer...6000+ miles on trip.

That kinda depends on you and what is causing the pain.

Are you squeezing the tank making your inner thighs ache? I find sometimes in bad weather or crazy traffic I will keep my legs tense and cause them to hurt after a while. I really had to make a conscious effort to stop doing this. It took a while but I finally broke myself of the bad habit.

Do you have back issues that could be sending nerve pain in your legs?

Or it could be your position and/or seat.

A backrest might help, a sheepskin might help, a Airhawk cushion might help. Hard to say really.

If you're looking into a backrest I highly recommend Utopia. I love mine!

I have a sheepskin and I find it works great to reduce the heat but I don't find it adding much cushion so I just ordered a Airhawk R. I will have it next week and bought it after reading many good things about them.

My Vision seat is good but I have a back injury that will sometimes send pain to my tailbone and down my leg. I hope the Airhawk will help reduce this pain during those times.

Home of the Sheepskin Buttpad I ordered the full skin sheered. I really like it and it really keeps my seat cool even when sitting directly in the Texas sun.

It is squeezing the tank that is making my inner thighs ache, especially on curvy roads. I'm going to take your suggestion, and try an airhawk with a back rest, and report back.

      Watch this space for updates!

      Thank you!
