Ladies and germs,

Have any of you used the Harbor Freight 1000 lbs motorcycle table lift with these big baggers? I have the Cross Country Tour, but am thinking that this table is not strong enough for these big bikes. Do any of you have experience with this lift?

Well this sucks. I was finally planning on picking up the Harbor Freight lift this winter when they still run the 20% off and they jacked up (pun intended) the price a hundred bucks to $549. With 20% off that brings it back to the last price.

To think I could have got it for $279 a few years ago. WTF.

I bought one of these years ago when I restored a Harley WLA. It worked out great and I sold it to a neighbor when I moved. I ordered it and had it shipped. The truck pulled in in front of my driveway, driver said it’s in the trailer. No lift, no hand truck. It was to freaking heavy to even slide out. Had to open the box and take it out a price ata time. Driver wouldn’t help and he was pissed it took so long.

He should have a hand truck if you're in that business. Hope you didn't tip the S.O.B.

Keep an eye on craigslist and FB marketplace. Here in the PNW they sell same day when listed for $300 +/-, but they come up often. And yes, they're heavy, about 300#. I picked one up used and added a HF wheel chock, best addition I ever made to my garage. I've had the XC, vegas, and the dirt bikes on it. Works great.

I bought a Table from NHPro Equipment ( pro 1200 ). I came with a lot more "stuff" when I got mine 2016. At the time it was just under $900. but the Harbor freight was only $300. Have done nothing to it, did not have to "modify" it. I even got a rear "roller" assembly as part of the package. Lived a few hours away so save shipping by going to pick up. Excellent people and works perfect always. Lots of used HF ones around, was then also, Lots of mods. done to them - then also. Biggest draw back at the time was no way to repair the jack system (replace only) or "modify". When I called to talk to those selling they all had the same reason - moving up to something better. Those that have the HR's and keep them have usually modified it. If price is main concern I truly do not believe you can bet it. But like everything long term cost is a different matter on anything purchased. Do your research. Part of that research is: How are you going to use it, how often, and for how many years do you want to use it. There are a hole lot of them out there!

Buy a good lift table if your going to work on your bike. I too could have bought the HF for under $300 and decided I would put that money towards a good lift. Well today I haven’t bought any table. My MC jack from HF aluminum blue and silver one has done all I need it to do so far. Besides there’s no dam room in my garage for a table. Ugggghhh.

For those interested, Harbor Freight has 20% off all Pittsburgh products including the table lift.

Online Promotion

We're moving into a new place in a week. Timing again sucks but hope they can hold on to it for pick up later.

$549 with 20% discount drops it to $439, then add Illinois sales tax of 48% so final cost should be around $760. WATTA DEAL!

HF has the 20% off this weekend plus if you're an Inside Track member you get an extra 10%. The lift would be roughly $390 plus tax. $410 if you pay the $29 to join the Inside Track club for a year. I did that last year when I picked up a tool cart and it paid for itself plus saved another $30.

Now if you get one of their credit cards drop another 10%. That would be 40% off and the lift would be $329 plus tax.

We just moved and my garage is insanely packed but I think I need to make room and finally pull the trigger. Been talking about this way too long! LOL

I've got the HF lift...both my JP and the XCT are raked out and still fit on the lift just fine...the XCT pushes the weight limits and i usually take off the trunk before I lift the bike...with the trunk off, it'll lift to max height and i lock it in place...be sure to replace the stock wheel chock on the lift; the OEM one is crap...also be careful when you run the bike up on the lift...if you ride it up, you're up off the floor about 4"-6" and if you're short-legged, you might tip over.

Just the only two pictures I have of it. The nicest thing about it, is that it has a a 40-inch ramp. Everyone else seems to have 20-inch. WHAT a difference this makes when loading a Big Bagger, nothing drags as you go on! This is especially good when you are alone and pushing on. As you have it leaning slightly to you and the chassis hits, it would want to stand up or worse tip away from you. I actually lay a couple of 2x12's (with 4x4's attached underneath) next to the table so I can ride on. As the front gets on the table the angle is so shallow of a rise my feet support it as I ride on. I put the kick stand down (on the 2x12 support) and get off. Now I can secure it with the tiedown straps. And if Ya all own Quads, Lawn tractors etc. they have optional side mounted aprons to make the table twice as wide, AND the lift is rated to lift 1500lbs. And they just pop into existing holes provided. So it is capable of growing with your needs. Harbor Freight is very inexpensive to purchase, but to use it as it arrives can be a problem. This came and still comes with frame jack, Repairable Hyd. Jack. Do not know how long it will last, as mine is only 6 years old. Absolutely NO PROBLEMS. I looked at a lot before I bought it, and the only reason I got this was it was a 2-hour ride to pick it up and they knocked of the freight from the purchase. But that 40-inch ramp is the "NUTS". I believe everyone else's is 20. They sell quite a few to dealers, who use them much more than you or I probably would. You have probably a lot of dollars in whatever you are rolling up on that table. If there are ANY ACCIDENTAL Opp's, it will cost more than the difference. If the jack fails, or gets tired there is no repair or replacement, it's another table or try to modify that one and try to adapt another jack. Just look closely and do your research, make sure it will do what you want for as long as you want. Lots have them and are happy, but those that aren't AREN'T ! Depending on where you live maybe they is someone near you that can make ya a worth wild deal, and you will never have to upgrade.

Welp, I finally got it up. :00000549:

No, not that. After several detours working on the house I got around to adding the HF ATV ramps as extensions to the lift. It was a little nerve racking riding the Pin up on the lift for the first time as I've never done this before. Tested the lift a few times with Stella on it, checked the fluid, it dropped under control, and all is well so far. I have the non-slip rubber pads to add but I'll wait until the weather warms up a bit to apply those.

A big shout out and thanks to @DAVEofSAC for his post on how he did his along with his PM's with additional info.

This will be a major back saver working on the Pin and Stella!

I had some time over the last couple days due to crappy weather so I took advantage of it to address an issue with my lift. Not sure if anyone else had the same issue but even after cleaning up the table with some brake clean I still had the harbor freight black non-slip pads slip-slide away on me when I rode up. I couldn't get those things to stick. So I had enough of it and went with a strip of truck bed liner from front to back and over the ramp as well. Rattle-canned a couple coats of primer and then the bed liner. About $35 of paint cans and tape. I suspect I'll have to do touch ups at some point.

I also swapped out the large wheel chock and went with the new wheel vise they offer. $64 after coupons.

I'm still waiting for the paint to cure before trying to ride the bike up but I'm pretty confident all will be good. It looks nice if anything else!

What are the measurements for this setup?

The garage I have is 10’x20’ (WxL) and still has to fit a workbench, hyd press, my Gunner & XCT, and possibly a third bike I’m thinking of building around a spare engine I have laying around. This third bike would basically live on the lift until it was at least a “roller”.
