you say you use Amsoil 20w50. At what intervals are you changing your oil and filter? Also what filter are you using? Is it less expensive when compared to using the tradional Vic oil change kit evry 5,000?

On the older bikes I would change around 3-3.5K range, on the new bikes I would change still around the 5K mark. I just think the bike runs cooler and quieter with Amsoil. I have used it on ALL my bikes since 2000 and even started using it in my 04 trailblazer with 110,000 on the clock

Thanks for the reply. Are you using the 20w50 with the part number ARO or MCV? The ARO is for cars but still maintains the JASO MA rating for the wet clutch on bikes. Whereas the MCV is made for bikes but the general consensus seems to be that it can cause slipping in Vics. I've read to use the ARO but have heard mixed reviews about the MCV which is why I ask. Are you using the Vic filter, Amsoil, or say like a Napa/Wix filter? Thanks again for your time.

I would need to hear it...sorry...Could be a number of things. Fishy road the heck out of that bike. I never met her but we talked a ton over on the VMC. Try using Amsoil 20/50 in her. I run it in all my Vics and it will quiet them down some.

The noise is such that I ammildly concerned. I suspect something is going to give beefore long. 156200 miles. I will look at the 20/50 next change.

HI Bubba, The pin striping is factory on the premium that year so it's under the clear coat. Nobody commented on the breather hose, you can see it better on pics at my page. thank-you, Thaine

I bought the RPW slash pipes and S&S intake. So you think just the remap from the local Vic dealer will suffice? Instead of having to purchase a fuel controller also? Thanks for you advice.

Advice desperatley needed! Vic dealer is gonna charge $200 for the remap card, plus an hours labour (at $120). That's $320.....or should I just buy the power commander for $350? Thanks for any advice anyone can give.

Thank you for responding. I do not have a complete list as it is in the shop But what I know it needs are headlight bucket. Speedometer, Mirrors, Handlebars, Maybe a rear fender but for sure the chrome strips that go on it. For sure a right rear turn signal & maybe the left also. My friend that is helping me fix it said the controls on the handle bars; Left side w/ turn signal & right side with starter switch may need replaced also. After I do a little work on it I will probably find other little pieces / parts I will need but those are the one I can think of right now. Let me know if you have any of the parts listed that would fit & how much you would want for them. Thanks again, ~Wendy (Nite-Nurse)
