I just received my latest copy of Motorcycle Mojo Magazine and on page 74 there is a review of the Stebel Nautilus. There is a foot note at the bottom of the article that recommends you visit www.aviciouscycle.ca for more information. You may find what you want there, hope this helps. Nepper

here ya go. A place in Michigan, U.S.A., close/fast !!! "Marine" Model (the BEST) $60 on Ebay from them.
    todd@hornsplusauto.com

The "marine" is the longest lasting life span do to the "water~proof " It'll never fail. Once the regular ones get soaked they loose the dual tone and CAN NOT be fixed. WoWo 117db, But the Stebel 139db

    Now . . . . "H"mmmmmmmm finding a place to put her ?

It looks as if both Vicious Cycle ( Stebel-Nautilus Compact 2-Tone 12-V Motorcycle Air Horn 139 dB Black or Chrome Twisted Throttle Canada ) and Motorcycle Innovations ( Stebel Nautilus Compact Air Horn ) both sell the Stebel Nautilus for $CA 59.95. I pretended to buy this, and Vicious shipping to Cold Lake appears to be $CA 15.75, and Innovations appears to be $CA 11.95 + 3.00 GST. These prices seem reasonable, compared to Twisted Throttle's (a reputable and popular bike farkle outfit, and Vicious's parent co.) US price of $49.99 ( Stebel Nautilus Compact Dual-Tone Motorcycle Air Horn 12-Volt Black or Chrome - TwistedThrottle.com ).

Motorcycle Consumer News did a horn review a year or so ago, and as I recall found that both the Nautilus and the Wolo Bad Boy ( Model 419 Bad Boy 12-Volt 123.5 Decibels 530 680 Hz - Air Horn - Motorcycle Horns - Horns ) had about the same current draw and volume. You can't go by the DB ratings that manufacturers list, because there are different methods, different distances, etc. In either case, with horns like these, make sure you use beefy wiring (e.g., 14- or 16-gauge) and a relay (fused on the hot line for 20 amps).

I've used Stebel Nautiluses on two bikes now -- my '12 XCT for three seasons, and a Burgman 650 for five years -- and as long as you have the trumpets pointed down you'll be fine. You don't mention what model you have -- and this would be a good time to include year and model in your signature or someplace -- but if you have an XC or XCT, mounting inside the fairing provides great weather protection, with negligible loss of volume. I have a few pics describing this process in my gallery, starting here: 2012 Victory Cross Country Tour .

My buddy had the WoWo & I had the Stebel on my ' 96 Royal side by each..... the boys were saying the Stebel blew the WoWo out of the water soooo easy.... my buddy went out and bought the Stebel the falling season. sorry that's why I call it the WoWo...... bad joke I know.

"H"mmmmmmmm ? mounting is not the trick Eh ?
