I recently acquired an ipod and need some recommendations on what songs to "ride". I love the old rock tunes (note my age), love music but cannot remember names of songs nor the singer. I have a few favorites on CD but am looking for some help. Bring on the suggestions!

I'm pretty good with music trivia (especially music from the 60's & 70's) so throw some lyrics at me from those old songs you used to love, and I'll see if I can figure out the title and artist.

The Doobie Brothers have a song called "Rockin' Down The Highway," or at least I think that's the name of it. It's on my iPod on my bike.

Bachman Turner Overdrive had a song called "Roll on Down the Highway"

    Other Highway songs:

Highway 61 Revisited - Bob Dylan
    Highway Star - Deep Purple
    Highway Chile - Jimi Hendrix
    Highway to Hell - AC/DC

    Other good riding songs:

Bat Out of Hell - Meatloaf
    New Sensations - Lou Reed
    Ghost Rider - Rush
Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen
    Motorcycle Mama - Neil Young
Roll Me Away - Bob Seger
1952 Vincent Black Lightning - Richard Thompson

    Hope this helps :)

I have about 45,000 songs in my iTunes library. If you can name it, I probably have it. Let me know if I can help. :)

    Deanna,

Yes I will take a list if you are offering. However, I have to find a better way to listen to the music while riding. Being new at this I have to turn the volume up so high to hear due to wind and road noise I am concerned about ruining my hearing! Maybe a little exaggeration but it is annoying to the point I have been riding lately without my tunes!

    Any ideas!

    Jay
