So far Polaris has not announced one single new dealership. In Indiana we have zero Indian dealers. How are they going to compete with H-D (like they claim), when they have the worst dealer network than any motorcycle manufactured??? I will not buy a product that has no support for their product. It's assinine to travel 300 miles to get warranty service on a bike!

There are several other brands that have very limited dealer network that have no trouble surviving just becuase you won't drive 300 miles doesn't mean others won't.

Polaris has stated that they want Indian and Victory under the same roof. I can't remember the name, but there is a large Victory dealer in Indianapolis. More than likely they have picked up the Indian line, and should have a partial display already set up. I know the dealer here in Eastern SD has the space set aside, and logo's on the wall, just no bikes or apparel until after the reveal during the Sturgis Ralley.

My guess is that Penske will become a National Indian Dealership and have locations from coast to coast. But that's just a guess based on cryptic information mentioned during a few interviews with Polaris CEO, Scott Wine. Here's a CNBC clip from January 2013:

They will have dealerships. My guess is the role out and announcement(s) of new dealerships will correlate and correspond to the announcement of the new bike at Sturgis. It will be part of the overall package of "The New Indian." People shouldn't hyperventilate about all this RIGHT NOW. It will take some time for the stategy to come together and play out. It would NOT make sense, IMO, to announce a bunch of new dealerships now, without something "new" to sell in them. The excitement will be generated when the new bike starts showing up. If they are successful, this will all feed on itself. The bike will be popular. New dealers will pop up. More bikes will be sold. New dealers will be needed, etc., etc...

There is a stand-alone Indian dealer in St. Paul, MN. Incidentally right next door to the HD dealer.

It was all a hoax. There is no Indian motorcycles and there won't ever be any new dealers. Ever. You should go buy a Harley now.

Like the input on this thread. Hopefully we will see dealerships in Indiana. I've talked to "Turn One" in Plymouth, IN. They said they are trying to get an Indian dealership, but have not heard anything yet. They're the largest (and first) Victory dealer in Indiana. Turn One has more used Harleys than most H-D dealers do, hmmmmmm.

I am sure they will announce them soon. I was on the site for A Team Mortorcylces in Vegas a Vic dealer and there is a link to pre order the Indians. So I am sure he will be a dealer. They will announce soon no worries.

After Saturdays reveal you will start seeing dealers get interested. Take mine dealer, smaller shop, doesnt have the backing of Ride Now or one of the large dealer chains. I cant see him making an investment of half a million or so (even if some is on a floorplan) when he hasnt been able to see the product yet.

LMAO! I knew there was something fishy about this "Indian thing"!

However, after the hoopla, sure there is a lot of anticipation and excitement about the showing of a new Indian motorcycle. Will this transform into sales for Indian/Polaris? I don't know. The curiosity and interest is there, but will it actually turn into a respectable number of sales? The sale of a few bikes, let's say 100, is not many bikes, so will there be fewer or more sales?

Ya gotta just be patient. If all else fails, go fishing or camping, and read about it later to see what the reaction of the (mostly) HD crowd is at Sturgis. After all, it is only a motorcycle, just a machine. It might be pretty and perhaps expensive, but not a real big deal compared to some other things in your life - like a wife or child, etc. JMO.

    YMMV

I am not going to complain about that!!
