I see most exhaust mods seem to be (just) slip-ons. Does this provide enough improvement by itself or does one need to mess with the entire exhaust system? My understanding is that you don't mess with the headers & mids unless you're going for drag racing specs...exclusively? Yeas or nays? What say you?

Cross Bikes: For guys with 'the usual mods", Lloyds filter, timing wheel, Cams, PC-V... Slip-ons will give the best overall results. If you go with a full exhaust you will likely trade some low-end grunt for a little more HP upstairs. If you have motor work, compression, cams, and inches to support it, best results will come from a full exhaust.

Steel Frames: The best bet on these is a well designed full exhaust.

So again, the answer is "It depends".
