If you order the witch doctors grills, keep your old screws and rubber washers. The WD grills do not come with hardware! It seems everything for this stereo mod is designed for those who try the Victory upgrade first. Those of us that jump straight to the aftermarket upgrades have to find everything that is needed. I'll definitely be doing a thread that others can follow step by step if they want to avoid wasting money on the OEM stuff!

In the Mean time, Anyone that orders the WD grills will also need to order the following OEM hardware.

    Victory part # 7520017 Screws - quantity needed: 12 - Price: $1.99 each
    Victory part # 7556869 Rubber Washers - quantity needed: 12 - Price: $1.99 each

I ordered mine from Cheapcycleparts website, so that is where the above pricing is from. Once I receive them, I will post the size and thread pitch so the next guy isn't spending $48 plus shipping for 12 screws and 12 rubber washers! I'm sure they can be acquired elsewhere a lot cheaper once you know the correct size.

What does WD charge for the grills ?
As far as those coarse threaded acres go I agree they are tough to find in the hardware store. I just bought tiny rubber O rings that actually worked well. The others disintegrated. I tried painting my grills and although they came out ok I think the WD grill is the way to go. It was a PITA to paint that chrome trim. It's trying to peel up on me.

When I got my grills they were chrome too. Sanded them down good, hit them with rattle can primer , then matt black paint, them matt clear. two years no issue .

Did you paint the whole grill or just the frame around it.

Just the frame around it, taped it off and painted them. Came out great.

I think I know where WD gets them. I haven't looked into the price or availability yet. Pretty sure they are OEM grills for the 2015 Magnum X1. Might be worth checking with the online OEM wholesalers to see about pricing. The way I saw it, $190 was a lot less money than buying speakers that I would never use just to get grills that I would need to paint. Besides, I don't mind helping support a company like Witch Doctors that supports our bikes. Not to mention the best customer service of any company I have ever delt with period!!! I get a follow up phone call shortly after every box of parts arrives to make sure it got here safely and I'm satisfied. My wife likes the tootsie rolls too! :icon_thumleft:

Anyone know the part number for the front speaker grill tweeter mounts or would like to get rid of?

I have a question related to this thread, but I wasn't sure if I should start a new one... I bought the speakers and lids and opted to buy a Kenwood AMP rather than the $300+ AMP from Victory. I'm looking at the connections for the Victory and I'm thinking I may have to splice into the AMP connection under the seat... What is the AMP connection? I thought it was speaker wires for the inlet but I'm not sure. Victory made it difficult to use aftermarket parts with their parts.
