2013 Cross Country - few questions?

First off - I love this bike!

I have the suede nuclear sunset - I think this is the best looking color scheme ever!!! - My only complaint - how come the levers dont come black? Has anyone found nice replacements? Or tried powder coating?

Apes - the cafe bars seem to pull back a lot, how much further foward are say the ness mini apes? The cafe bars are very comfortable, but I want the look of the apes, will I be reaching too far foward? Any advise or first hand experience people have had, with different manufactures would be very helpful, as well as any pictures people may have of them ON the bike, with hands on the grips, would be very helpful! I am also looking to stay legal - meaning hands no higher than shoulders.

Thanks in advance!

I understand that baked-on enamel will last a long time where there's constant rubbing - like on a clutch/brake lever. But is powder coating, that's also baked on, as durable as whatever they use for a baked-on enamel finish?

power coating should last for a good five years

Does anyone have any suggestions and pictures with apes????

I went with the Kewlmetal Meat hooks(black), love them and once mounted you can move them around without removing the fairing. No wiring or cable to be changed and legal.  Plus everybody loves and asked about them. It changes the whole look of the bike for the better. If you look up their site here, my bike is on the display plage showing them off. The Black XC

Do you have a pic with you on the bike? Looking to see if I will have to "reach" for them?

Sure, hope this helps. They were about 500.00 but well worth it, well made anf the dealer installed them due to the fact you have to remove the inner and outter fairing, kind of a pain. But once they are installed you can raise and lower them by two bols under the bars.
