Yamaha has introduced its Bolt and Bolt R-Spec "Performance Bobber" motorcycles.
From Yamaha: Powered by a fuel-injected, 58-cubic-inch (950cc), air-cooled, V-Twin engine, mounted in a double-cradle frame, the Bolt and Bolt R-Spec are “Performance Bobbers” that will attract a new cruiser buyer to the Star brand.
The Bolt R-Spec’s chassis design is entirely new. Components such as the 3.2 gallon fuel tank, textured seat with colored stitching, remote reservoir rear shocks, belt drive, front and rear wheels, digital meter, and steel fenders are new, creating a unique and fresh style.
The slim body and low seat design combine to give the motorcycle light maneuverability and a
stable handling feeling. The upright riding posture helps the rider feel the wind, hear the sounds, and experience the pulse of the machine.

From what I have seen here I really Like this Yamaha. I think they will do well with this. It's nice and light, it's a great little runaround bike that will fit a lot of people as a second bike. It does look like a Sportster but I'll bet it's much more reliable and it won't leave your hands buzzing like the HD. My younger sister was looking at the sportster as a step up but all the brothers even the HD guys advised against it but this is something I think would suit her well. I'll bet Yamaha does well with this model and I think Victory should pay close attention. I think Victory needs a bike with a smaller engine and look that won't intimidate new riders like the big 106 engine does.
I like it. It does resemble a Sportster a great deal. This is the type of entry level bike I was hoping Vic would produce to draw folks in. It's sharp and my experience with Yamaha has been positive as they build a very solid and dependable bike.
Chop off the rear fender, cut the exhaust in half, add a suicide shift, and some mini apes... I'd rat-rod that thing in a heart beat. Yamaha makes a rock-solid engine and frame. What's more, most of their bikes will have a lot more metal vs plastic or fiberglass than most brands. I don't think you can go wrong with this.
For that price I'd just as soon buy a Sporty, the bike it's copying.

That thing don't look like a Sportster!! ...is ugly! Sportster are the best HD, had one and put 136k miles on it!! never saw a shop!! ..my Roadking leave me already on the side of the rode 3 times!! Polaris should make something on the medium range (around 850cc) new riders, females, city guys and broke people like me will buy it!!
