The pump will prime but I keep getting a buzzing sound.the battery was disconnected but I see a....S335 code when when I put the battery back ......HELP!
I've had a 99 for 13 years now so I know a bit. If your engine's cranking at a normal speed and not starting you have 3 possible issues- Compression (not likely if it was just running), electrical, or fuel. Check the simple stuff first- Is you fuel tank vent clear? Check all you fuses, pull a plug and verify you have spark. Verify fuel delivery-pull the hose off the fuel pump & put in a can & crank the engine(10 ozs in 15 sec is OK).99s are voltage sensitive- I've found most issues with early Vics are battery or grounding related-get a volt meter & if you can do a load test on the battery, has to be 12.6 minimum-sometimes they seem ok but a new battery cures the issues. Check the main ground at the left passenger's peg and make sure it clean & tight. You have to access the fail codes so I don't know what your seeing, the fail codes read 1:1, !:2, 2:2, etc.
