Tire balancing using Dyna Beads®
Does anyone on this forum have any experience using Dyna Beads® for tire balancing?

I have had them in the last 2 ft tires and the last 3 rear tires.
They work extremely well for cruising. Better than weights in my opinion.
BUT, they do not work as well for stop and go in town. They produce a little shake at 30-35 MPH for a minute until they distribute themselves after every stop.

I'm new to the little beads only one set of tires 20,000 kms ... But wow I love em and with all respect disagree with stop and go unbalance because I never felt it. Tire wear was outstanding and silky smooth at speed. Wheels look good and my mechanic very carefully changed tires and we re-used them on the next set of tires.

I've used them and like them a lot but I've since found a much better product called Ride-On. It's a gel and not like that green Slime stuff. Really amazing stuff IMHO. I was so impressed by it that I now use it all my vehicles tires.
One thing I like above and beyond the fact that they seal small holes and keep any tire balanced which gives an average of 25% longer tread life is that since I started using it; I rarely need to add air to any tire I've put it in.
It's a little bit of a bother to install. Takes about ten minutes per bike tire and about twenty minutes per car tire but then it's done and forgotten about for three to ten years depending on the tire.
Works out to about $20 per tire which pays for itself in longer tire wear.
I figure if I get another, oh, 5k miles out of a MT and about the same out of a CT; I'm doing good and not having to mess with it for that much longer as well.
JMHO, FWIW, YMMV

I have used Dyna Beads on my last 2 bike. I'll never use regular weights again!

One more question:
Does the Vics have straight valve stems or are they 90 degree style like those on Goldwings?

They are straight but I installed the Kurvey Girl 83 degree, 8.3 mm, solid aluminum stems in my stock XC wheels. At first we thought they were the larger 11.3 mm, we got it straightened out but it took a little sending of parts back and forth until we got it right. That isn't to say it's the same for other models but the X bikes are 8.3 mm in width.

I too like the Ride-on Product.
Why not have a superior balancing and the comfort of knowing that small Holes are going to be filled in as you drive?
