There are places all over the U.S. that charge higher prices. Usually in areas frequented by tourists and upscale business areas, and the quick & easy freeway access gas stations. It has always been, will always be.

Okay, since this station is in my hood I will comment. The gas stations in question are right outside the airport where people return their rentals. So they over charge for two reason. First is they can, they know they got you. Second, unlike most stations all they sell is gas, tourist dont go in to buy stuff like a normal station and real eastate is twice premium that close to the airport. Do you realize how much gas you need to sell at normal markup to pay for one of these stations? Close to 100% more then a 40 pump Racetrack station making $0.01 per gallon.
They were investigated during the huricanes for price gouging and were cleared. Us locals know not to go in to these stations.
^ That post almost made it sound like I knew what I was talking about.

Negative on your conclusion. You are making incorrect assumptions if you think I get my news from 1 source. But, anyone that disagrees with you, you assail their objectivity and news sources. You are also incorrect if you think Al Jazeera is an unbiased news site. But then again, you think Media Matters is a legitimate news outlet. Whatever floats your boat.
"Al Jazeera Journalist Calls Out Network Bias"
Al-Jazeera has long been suspected of lacking objectivity in its reporting of the Middle East. Now one of its most prominent journalists and director of their Beirut office, Ghassan Bin Jeddo, has resigned because of this.
According to Lebanese newspaper, As-Safir, which first broke the story yesterday, Bin Jeddo resigned in protest against Al Jazeera’s coverage of the recent uprisings throughout the Arab world, saying:
Al Jazeera has abandoned professionalism and objectivity, turning from a media source into an operation room that incites and mobilizes."

A minutes worth of searching found this;
❊ Why Did Ghassan Ben Jeddo Resign From Aljazeera?
Posted on April 23, 2011 by Mustapha
Assafir quotes “sources” on why Ben Jeddo wrote his letter of resignation:
The Chanel ended a dream of objectivity and professionalism after Aljazeera stopped being a media source and became an operations room for Incitement and mobilization
If you think you heard this before, it’s because you have. These are the same accusations that the Syrian regime and its hacks have been peddling on TV in the last few days.
Assafir’s “sources” (and one has to bring up Assafir’s history of making up news and putting words in people’s mouths) also mention –rightfully– Aljazeera’s shameful silence on Bahrain. But Ben Jeddo’s real anger appears to be with the coverage of Syria (or he would have resigned after the Bahrain crackdown began weeks ago).
All of this begs the question: Why didn’t Ben Jeddo quit over Aljazeera’s “incitements” in Egypt, Tunisia and Yemen? To many observers, Aljazeera is not doing anything in Syria’s coverage that it didn’t do in Egypt’s or Tunisia’s. One can even argue that the channel was more gung-ho and much more sensational in those countries.
To answer, one has to look at Ghassan Ben Jeddo’s claim to fame: He’s one of the few journalists who has access to Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah of Hezbollah. He’s the one who gets the “privilege” of interviewing him whenever the Hezb wants to make an Aljazeera appearance. That access, it now turns out, has strings attached.
This could all turn out to be a little publicity stunt by Ben Jeddo to make it clear (To Hezbollah, the Syrian regime and the Iranians) that he does not support what his bosses in Qatar are doing. After all, where would he go from Aljazeera? to Almanar?
http://beirutspring.com/blog/2011/04/23/why-did-gh...
And yet another opinion of Aljazeera.
by Jonathan Azaziah
Al-Jazeera has operated with a pro-Israel, anti-Resistance stance from its inception, employing many Zionist hardliners to shape programming and reporting (73). The reason for this, unbeknownst to most, is that the US-backed Qatari dictator, Emir Hamad Bin Khalifa al-Thani, did not create Al-Jazeera, although he is its predominant fiancier. Al-Jazeera was created by the French-Israeli billionaire Zionist brothers, David and Jean Frydman, who set up the network to infiltrate media in the Islamic World and to control Middle East discourse on the Zionist occupation of Palestine.
Basically from what I've read, he was in cahoots with PRESIDENT BASHAR AL ASSAD of Syria.
You can read the propaganda here;

Why don't Canadians bitch about sending all that oil to the USA?
I thought the solution to high gas prices was drill baby drill?
Seriously, I had a great time visiting Nova Scotia last year while riding the Cabot Trial and drinking beer in the breweries in Halifax.

Interesting - a lecture about objectivity from the guy that thinks Keith Olbermann, MSNBC, Ed Schultz, and Media Matters are objective news sources?
Your also the same guy that thinks requiring voter ID to vote is just just crazy. But the activities of Acorn is no problem. Seeing a pattern of extreme liberal bias here? It's obvious.
Let's look at your Al Jazeera - which you defend and uphold as a valued and objective new source.
They started in 1996 with a joint venture from Orbit Communications and Saudi King's cousin. 1 year later - the deal fell apart. So, the Emir of Qatar (Qatar Govt.) and some private investors infused Al Jazeers with $137 million.
Al Jazeera wanted to become financially independent by 2001 - but it did not. It still receives grants, loans and subsudies. The Qatar gave an additional $30 million in 2004. It is still owned by the Qatar govt.
Al Jazeera wants to be financially independent. But is not.
Wikileaks documents show Al Jazeera is manipulatd by the Qatar Govt. -
"Al Jazeera emphasizes that it is editorially independent, though much of its funding comes from the Qatar government. U.S. State Department internal communications, released by WikiLeaks as part of the 2010 United States diplomatic cables leak, claim that the Qatar government manipulates Al Jazeera coverage to suit political interests."
Then - in 2008 an American journalist resigns because of Al Jazeera's "anti-American bias."
"Anti-American bias
Journalist Dave Marash, who served as a veteran correspondent for ABC's Nightline, resigned from his position as Washington anchor for Al Jazeera English in 2008. Dave Marash cited "reflexive adversarial editorial stance" against Americans and "anti-American bias".
Then - in 2008 Al Jazeera, and the Head of Al Jazeera's Beirut Office, honored and praised and honored a convicted terrorist as a hero! They broadcast a TV Show broadcasting a "Welcome Home" party for this convicted murderer. Al Jazeera organized a birthday party for the terrorist!
Israel
"On 19 July 2008, Al Jazeera TV broadcast a program from Lebanon that covered the "welcome-home" festivities for Samir Kuntar, a Lebanese militant who had been imprisoned in Israel for killing several people in a Palestine Liberation Front raid from Lebanon into Israel. In the program, the head of Al Jazeera's Beirut office, Ghassan bin Jiddo, praised Kuntar as a "pan-Arab hero" and organized a birthday party for him."
In another example of pro-terrorist, anti-Israeli reporting, look at this unbelievable example of reporting spin and bias -
"The television network was also criticized for allegedly biased coverage of events in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, including the Bat Mitzvah massacre in 2002, where the network failed to note that the massacre victims were attending a bat mitzvah celebration for a 12 year old girl, and neglected to mention that the gunman crashed the event at a crowded banquet hall.[124] When the Palestinian militant Raed Karmi was assassinated by the Israeli army, Al Jazeera was criticized for failing to mention Israeli accusations about how many people he had killed, which would have provided a context for the story."
In 2008 the Israeli Govt. took action against Al Jazeera because it became obvious they were working with the terrorist organization Hamas to present a slanted pro-terrorist news source -
"On 13 March 2008, Israel imposed sanctions on Al Jazeera, accusing it of slanted coverage favoring Hamas. Deputy Foreign Minister Majalli Wahabi said that Israel would deny entry visas to Al Jazeera employees, and that Israeli officials would not be available for interviews with the network. According to Wahabi, "We have seen that Al Jazeera has become a part of Hamas... taking sides and cooperating with people who are enemies of the State of Israel. The moment a station like Al Jazeera gives unreliable reports, represents only one side, and doesn't present the positions of the other side, why should we cooperate"? Wahabi said that the Israeli Foreign Ministry would send letters of complaint to the government of Qatar and Al Jazeera."
Remember - Al Jazeera is owned by the Qatar Govt. Do you think they would be biased against the Israeli's? It's obvious if you are honest.
Then - Israel arrested Al Jazeera's bureau chief for commiserating with terrorists!
"In August 2011, Samer Allawi, Al Jazeera's Afghanistan bureau chief, was arrested by Israeli authorities on charges of being a member of Hamas. Walied Al-Omary, Al Jazeera's bureau chief in Israel and the Palestinian territories, said the military court accused Allawi of making contact with members of Hamas's armed wing."
In Spain an Al Jazeera reporter was arrested and convicted of being a financial courier for al-Qaeda.
Reporter Tayseer Allouni was arrested in Spain on 5 September 2003, on a charge of having provided support for members of al-Qaeda.[133] Judge Baltasar Garzón, who had issued the arrest warrant, ordered Allouni held without bail.
Al Jazeera wrote to then Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar and protested: "On several occasions Western journalists met secretly with secret organizations and they were not subjected to any legal action because they were doing their job, so why is Allouni being excluded?" Allouni was released on bail several weeks later over health concerns, but prohibited from leaving the country.
On 19 September, a Spanish court issued an arrest warrant for Allouni before the expected verdict. Allouni had asked the court for permission to visit his family in Syria to attend the funeral of his mother but authorities denied his request and instead ordered him back to jail.
Although he pleaded not guilty of all the charges against him, Allouni was sentenced on 26 September 2005 to seven years in prison for being a financial courier for al-Qaeda."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera
So, if you want to read and believe the slanted and biased news, from a news source that supports and spins for terrorists - have at it. But, do not represent Al Jazeera as an unbiased news agency. That is nauseating.
Remember - your the guy that froths at the mouth and has seizures any time Fox News is referenced. But, in your world, Al Jazeera, Media Matters, Ed Schultz, Keith Olbermann, etc., are A-Ok.
That my friend is your extreme liberal bias.
