Now days everything is done via the web. Its hard sometimes to know exactly who you are dealing with. It does not take much to throw up a website and make it look good. What happened to good old fashion "customer service"? Standing behind your product with support. Wouldnt it be nice to be able to talk to someone ... to answer questions? Most sites now days do not even do that much.
Would you really do buisness with a site that does not give you a physical address??? or even a phone number to call with a simple question??
I would think that would raise a flag... it would in my book.
The question is if a company takes the time to make a website and make it look professional, why would they not atleast give you a way to contact.... besides an email.
Even paypal will give you a physical address when a transaction is to be completed. Ebay may not give you a physical address.... but they have a rating score so you can see what type of person you are dealing with atleast.
What about the companys that open mutltiple sites , sell the same stuff and hide behind the screen. The reason... simple.... When they piss off one person , it gives them another chance to get their business by changing their identity. Soon all ( or most )business will be done via the web. It cuts down the cost of having a big store front and having people visit their business. I feel their needs to be some sort of rating.... protection for the consumer to know exactly who he is doing business with, that way they will have the option to choose whether or not they want to do business with that person.
The way business is done is changing... more and more each day. Some say its getting better? Some say its for the worse? Eventually something has to give.. there will have to be some sort of BBB for the web.
Thanks for looking....
Mike
